I guess the aim of the adverts is to get across the look of the kitchen from the best angles and show it in all its glory, not that if we buy this advertised kitchen we will be buying a bigger kitchen! surely we all know that isnt the case, but for all of us who have that slightly smaller kitchen, ok i mean that tiny little room with a sink in it there are a few tricks to make it a less confined space.

Breakfast Bars

I've met many customers who have had a quote from a company and have been told there kitchen is too small for a breakfast bar, A bar along the wall shows just how space saving, practical and esthetic it can be, with just a little imagination almost any kitchen can have a breakfast bar.

Galley Kitchens

If you have a long but not very wide kitchen its wise not to use wall cabinets both sides, either along one side or if you need the space use shelves as the light will flow more free around the kitchen giving more light means giving it a more spacious look.

Widening you kitchen isle

Another good idea is to use wall cabinets on the floor on one side of the kitchen and have them as base cabinets so gaining back a foot or so of the floor space not only looking more spacious but also letting you move more freely around your space.

Choose light colour cabinets for a more spacious feel and if you really have to have the dark or medium colour kitchen cabinets then choose a light colour for the walls, floor and the worktop the kitchen will have a light and spacious look to it.
